Who are we?
Kev
Kev is a Level 2 International Kiteboarding Organization instructor. I have lived and worked in Tarifa since February 2006. I therefore know all the best beaches for us to kite each day, the wind conditions, the town, and many bar and restaurant staff!
Before kiting became my work as well as passion I did a degree in Sports Science and managed various gyms and sports venues in London for over 10 years, and was a personal trainer and sports coach. I've always played football, golf, squash, cricket - yep every sport in fact. I also surf and snowboard, but I don't do "the other windsport"!
Lisa
Lisa has lived in Spain since 2004. After spending 18 months teaching English and learning Spanish I moved to Tarifa in 2006. As well as still teaching English I work at one of the coolest & most relaxed hostal-restaurants in town, 'Banti'. I'll look after us before and after kiting, with breakfasts, packed lunches for the beach and the best aprés-kite cakes!
I have also been learning to kite here in Tarifa over the last year, so will be kiting with you whenever possible and can give you tips and advice from the learner's point of view.
Our Equipment
We have chosen the best equipment for you to use, and teach with Ozone kites and on ABoards. In the recent monster kit review in Kiteworld Magazine the reviewers' summary said the following: Ozone Instinct Light: "A tidy little unit. For beginners it's got everything - is stable, simple, has loads of depower and is quick to relaunch - and for better riders it's quick, great in high winds and has good, quick direct steering through the bar."
